Windows 7 (also known as Blackcomb and Vienna) is the next version of Microsoft Windows, an operating system produced by Microsoft, for the PC, including corporate and home computers, laptops, Tablet PC, Netbook, and media center. [1] Microsoft has started in 2007 to plan the development of Windows 7, to go out 3 years after release of its predecessor, Windows Vista, but the final date of exit will be determined by the quality of the product. [2] Unlike its predecessor, Windows 7 is designed to be an upgrade to Vista, with the result of being fully compatible with drivers, applications and hardware that is already compatible with Windows Vista. [3] The presentations offered by the company in 2008 showed support multi-touch, a shell with a new redesigned taskbar, a system of sharing home called HomeGroup [4], and improvements in performance.
